Pune, September 21, 2021: The 17th edition of the Symposium on International Automotive Technology (SIAT) 2021 organized by The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) in association with SAEINDIA and SAE International (USA) will be held from September 29 to October 1, 2021. In view of the current situation related to COVID19, the Conference & Expo will be organized for the first time in virtual mode. This was announced by Dr Reji Mathai, Director, ARAI and Dr SS Thipse, Coordinator, SIAT 2021 during a press conference held at ARAI today. Other ARAI officials including Nitin Dhande, Senior Deputy Director, Anand Deshpande, Senior Deputy Director, Vijay Pankhawala, Deputy Director and Dr B V. Shamsundara, Deputy Director were present on the occasion.
Central Heavy Industries Minister Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey will inaugurate SIAT 2021 and Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will be the guest of honor at the closing ceremony.
The theme of SIAT 2021 will be “Redefining mobility for the future”. It will serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas and brainstorming for the automotive industry, with the participation of leading experts from around the world in various automotive fields and will cover topics such as active and passive safety, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), advanced powertrain technology, biofuels, construction. Equipment vehicles, electric mobility, emission measurement and control technology, harmonization of regulations, materials and manufacturing and public transport systems, among others.
Experts from around the world will present around 200 technical papers, including 40 keynote addresses, on various topics at SIAT 2021 and, in addition to the symposium proceedings, the Technical Reference Bulletin, containing technical papers, case studies and product information. , will be published in digital form.
Virtual Expo at SIAT2021 will provide a suitable platform for a range of companies around the world to showcase their products, technologies, innovations and services through virtual booths.
The exhibition will attract automotive OEMs, Tier I, II and III suppliers, equipment manufacturers, CAD / CAM / CAE tool suppliers, technologists, engineering service providers and engineering agencies. ‘test, to present their products and service capabilities and would be open to all automotive fraternities and interested persons.
SIAT2021 will also host the student poster presentation competition in virtual form and an announcement in this regard will be available on the SIAT2021 website.
