The BMW Group has once again been recognized for its efforts in various departments by young aspiring professionals. The company was once again recognized for its vision for the future of the industry, with first place in the 2021 employer rankings, on par with international technology leaders.
BMW was named the world’s top automotive employer among all target groups in this year’s Universum “World’s Most Attractive Employer” survey of nearly 221,000 students from the top ten economic nations. In a very competitive international market for the best people, the Germans are holding out. The BMW Group has been one of the top performers in the engineering category, ranking third after Google and Microsoft.
With a respectable ninth place in the computer science student survey, the BMW Group was the only industrial company among the tech giants, as well as the only automotive company to make the top 10. In the ranking of business students , the BMW group came in 13th, clearly ahead of all other car manufacturers. “We are particularly happy to be able to position ourselves as an attractive and reliable employer, both nationally and internationally, in a period of transformation. It also pays off in the competition for young talent, ”says Ilka Horstmeier, member of the board of directors of BMW AG responsible for human resources and labor relations.
In other comparable surveys of students and professionals in Germany, such as the Trendence Graduate Barometer and the Universum Students and Professionals Study, the BMW Group consistently ranks in the top 10 in the IT field. The company comfortably ranks among the top five employers in engineering and business. For the tenth year in a row, the BMW Group has been named Germany’s most attractive employer for young professionals, according to the Trendence Professionals barometer.
Each year, the Trendence Institut GmbH, an independent market research and consulting company, surveys more than 25,000 experienced university graduates. The BMW Group is also a popular employer among skilled workers: the company was ranked second in the Trendence Skilled Worker Barometer 2021, which surveyed more than 50,000 employees in Germany, and thus increased its position relative to the ‘last year.
