New Delhi, June 22 (SocialNews.XYZ) As buzz around the metaverse and its use cases grows, industry experts said on Wednesday that India’s automotive sector should focus on augmented reality (AR) and reality-based skills training Virtual (VR) to stay ahead in the global race.

At an event organized here by the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary of the Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) focused on re-skilling roadside mechanics and appreciated the ASDC initiative for globally competent trainers with dual certification.


“It is relevant that we promote AR-VR-based vocational training for the automotive sector, embrace the culture of learning and focus on versatility, as these initiatives will empower our youth and promote nation building,” Aggarwal told the audience. at the ‘ASDC’s Partners Forum-2022’.

Vinod Aggarwal, Chairman of ASDC and Managing Director and CEO of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV), said the Indian automotive industry is at the forefront of global industry practice, “both in terms of adopting the latest technologies and promoting innovations through integrating the safety and performance of vehicles produced in India”.

“In order to maintain its leadership position, it needs a constant source of skilled labor as well as focusing on upskilling and reskilling its existing workforce,” he said. added.

The event saw different sessions on Results Driven Training, Skills Process Building, New Opportunities in EV Training and Industry 4.0.

“The demographic dividend for India is at its peak right now. Our trainers will need to be trained in delivering content using digital technologies and digital content,” said Ved Mani Tiwari, COO and CEO by interim NSDC.
