New Delhi: The International Automotive Technology Center (ICAT) has been established as a fully-fledged testing and certification center within the North Automotive Cluster under the National Testing and Automotive R&D (NATRIP). It is one of the Authorized Test Centers under the Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR) and provides services such as Certification/Type Approval, Design & Engineering, R&D, Consultancy and testing and validation, etc. to the automotive sector. It also provides testing services for LED lamps, UPS systems, electronic devices, generator sets, medical equipment, etc. to the non-automotive private sector. The revenue generated by ICAT was Rs. 175.90 crore (excluding GST) in the financial year 2020-21.
